Simple, powerful toolsOHC helps providers migrate their services from one server to another, one datacenter to another, and even one application to another. OHC's provisioning tools can integrate with existing legacy services as well as new services, allowing some customers to reside on old servers while others are on new servers. This allows providers to migrate customers one at a time or all at once. Often, customers are offered the new service as an upsell for a small fee, allowing the service provider to recover the costs incurred in migration. OHC makes these upsells as easy as a single click. Provisioning services in batches is easy with OHC because of the many tools available for integration. All features of OHC are exposed as web services that can be used to configure customer accounts and enable their services. Because the migration is not a copying of configs but rather a full re-provisioning, providers can be sure that nothing has been left out and there will be no nasty surprises. Automated checksOnce the migration of a customer's services is complete, OHC's Check Service feature provides the tools necessary to perform sanity checks against a service to ensure that it is working properly. As with all OHC tools, these sanity checks can be run in batches and automated, generating reports for any services which are not running properly. Unifying service deliveryThe single sign-on control panels provided by OHC ensure that customers always have a consistent entry point for any service they subscribe to. This means that the provider does not need to notify customers of changes to server names and passwords when those parameters change. The user simply logs into the control panel and the applications are embedded into the interface regardless of the locations of the servers they reside on. Migrate when *you* are readyFinally, OHC reduces the urgency to migrate customers from one location to another. The provisioning module can be integrated with any IP service, be it in-house or outsourced, new or legacy. OHC will automate the provisioning of legacy systems to free up technical staff to properly build replacement services. It gives service providers the breathing room that they need to make the improvements they need. |
